Forbidden 403 error when moving a local WP site to a live site

    Hi Community,

I upgraded my account to a deluxe hosting package so that I could host more than one website. Then I bought a new domain.

I tried uploading the website that I build on localhost Wordpress to the new domain, but I am getting a 403 Forbidden error. It only states that admin rules forbids it.

I followed method 2 in this article to move my site online https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-move-wordpress-from-local-server-to-live-site/.

Where it states the site should be online, it wasn’t. So I logged into my admin account, then I went to settings - general. Then I changed the local host address to the domain address. That is when the 403 Forbidden error started appearing.

Now I can’t log in to my site from anywhere. I tried changing the config file a few times, I tried different ways of logging in.

I also tried a few of the fixes in this article: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-403-forbidden-error-in-wordpress/

I don’t know what to do anymore. Please can you assist me in getting my domain hosted and website online through my godaddy account? Or at least assist me in speaking with the right person?

    Kind Regards

With Managed WordPress you need to be careful with the database and what's in the config file making sure the structure matches and then in the options table that your URL is the same

I suggest deleting your Managed WordPress install and then starting over the with migration.
