DNS Error

I am in the process of switching my website over to another platform and when I changed the DNS settings in my account I didn't put periods at the end of nameserver. I can't tell how that will affect my website. Every time I have tried to edit the nameservers it doesn't change them. What should I do form here.

There shouldn't be a period at the end of the nameservers (like ns1.somehost.com).  Make sure you're editing in the special section for Nameservers, which is below the section for DNS settings.  The nameservers listed in the DNS are informative, but if you change the nameservers that DNS would no longer be active (the nameservers determine which DNS to use).

To clarify, since I originally didn't have periods in the name servers and it wouldn't change it to include them, should I just wait to see what happens?
