Domain Forwarding Randomly Stops Working Every few Months

Good evening, all.

There is an extremely strange issue that we've been attempting to get to the bottom of for quite some time. We have a domain (mcgillbidline.com) 95% of people can enter in the website which then redirects to the forwarded link, except for users within our main office. No one within the main office is able to type in the link, then be forwarded over correctly. This had happened months ago and it just kind of resolved itself and we dropped it but it's happening again.

We've confirmed that there's nothing on the workstations that could be blocking this, the workstations are also able to ping the site successfully. The ISP (ERC Broadband) is also stumped. They've confirmed that they're net neutral and wouldn't be blocking anything and that there's also no issues in the area currently.

In my home office, I'm able to enter in the website just fine and be redirected accordingly. I've contacted GoDaddy support and I've been informed that they don't see any issues and two technicians have tried from their end confirming that it works for them so there must not be an issue. I've attached traceroutes below:

I had found someone describing this exact same issue here: https://www.godaddy.com/community/Managing-Domains/My-domain-forwarding-stops-working-on-my-PC-but-w...

They were informed that there was an issue with the forwarding towers in this scenario and that particular person was effected. Is there anything else you guys can recommend or any additional information that can be provided to help us get to the bottom of this?

It would be much appreciated, again this same issue happened a couple of months ago and it just kind of resolved itself. We looped in GoDaddy, the ISP, etc. exactly as we are now and everyone was stumped.

Thank you,

@Leo3499You can try turning the forwarding off, waiting a bit, then turning it back on.  Or contact support directly to look into the issue.

I recommend the hosting method because of the problems forwarding has had in the past and you never know when it'll happen again.  It makes sense if you already had the hosting, maybe not so much if it would cost extra.

If you can add the domain to a hosting plan you can set-up your own forwarding with a 301 redirect.  That's what I'd recommend if you already have the hosting.

Good evening, @Nate.

Are there any other options you can think of besides adding the domain to a hosting plan? We've verified that the forwarding is still set up correctly within the DNS settings tied to the domain. We're just really trying to get to the bottom of what's causing this rather than try and change the system unless it's absolutely necessary to resolve what's been going on.
