I set my forwarding url to https://xxxx#home, but when I open my website with Chrome on my Mac, "#home" is not shown. It works fine on Safari, Firefox, and even Chrome on iphone. Anyone knows the reason?
Re: Forwarding URL not showing hash# on Google Chrome
Hello Mooooona, I hope you are doing well. Thank you for posting in GoDaddy community. The # means that you're linking to somewhere in the page, so the link will never refresh the page at the place the browser will try to find https://abc.com#home. Actually, different browsers handle this differently, so in practice, it's not useful to rely on either behaviour. It definitely is a browser issue. The browser never sends the bookmark part of the URL to the server, so there is nothing that the server could do to find out if there is a bookmark or not and nothing that could be done about it reliably.
