Google shows correct URL but wrong (hacked?!) page

I can't reply to the original thread for some reason, but I have one site that is (linux) almost entirely HTML with a smattering of PHP. I have this same problem where for some periods of time my site content appears as a viagra site or something else. I've never seen it myself, but users have reported it a few times. What is the mechanism for this? I don't even have javascript.

Site in question:

Make sure the computer you use is not also compromised.  It is important to have comprehensive security software that is up-to-date and run scans regularly.

Change the passwords before and after restoring the site.

Do not save your password in Filezilla as it would be stored in a file on your computer.  Also make sure it's configured to connect using SSH.

It seems to self repair, or at least since I've never seen it, I assume it's self repairing (meaning some pointers are getting messed up and restored somewhere???).

Strange. Maybe Filezilla has been compromised. I will reinstall that then reload my site.
