If my Domain is accidentally cancelled (but restored within 5 hours) will i lose all emails?
So, I have a situation with a client for which I am not 100% sure of the answer and am seeking some advise. So here goes:
I understand the DNS server and the MX server run on two separate servers. Now, if the DNS (domain) server is accidentally cancelled - but restored within 5 hours - would the emails be lost forever that attempted to be sent during that time to the @mycompany.com?
Do they stay in the MX server until the domain is re-established or until the set attempts to deliver have been met and the kick back email is sent to the original recipient?
