Please provide nameserver in correct format.

When changing nameservers if I type in "ns3.privatedns.icu" the system does not accept the change and I have an error message "Please provide nameserver in correct format."

Please advise how to correct.

Hi @ozwebfx,

These appear to be custom nameservers setup with a domain from another registrar. There could be several things going on.

The configuration of the custom nameservers at that registrar may not be compatible with the requirements of a GoDaddy domain (incorrect or incomplete IP addresses, etc). In addition, custom nameservers are usually created from the domain they are supporting. (Such as PRIVATEDNS.ICU.) If your domain is NOT this one, you may wish to use the instructions in the earlier reply here to make custom nameservers out of the GoDaddy domain you're using here.

There are also special nameserver requirements for certain ccTLDs (country code domains). By going to this link, and clicking the appropriate article for the ending to your domain, you can review nameserver requirements there.

Hi @ozwebfx,

Welcome to the Community!

Nameservers are entered in consecutive pairs - first odd, then even. Please check with your hosting provider to confirm the 2 nameservers required to enter in the domain details. Be sure there are two, and the name and IP address(s) assigned to them are valid.
