Shared mailbox setup

I have an Email essentials single user email address setup.


should I be able to setup a shared mailbox for

info@xxxx, accounts@.... etc instead of using email alias for these ?


it mentions it in the godaddy help pages but the option shown in the help isn’t available when I log into email management .


I have them setup as alias but would like the shared  mailbox setup instead.

  • Log in to your GoDaddy account and open your product.
  • Click the Admin tile. 
    Click Admin tile.
  • In the left sidebar, click Shared mailboxes.
    Click Shared mailboxes
  • Click Create Click create
    Click create
  • In the Create a shared mailbox box, fill in the fields:
    Create new shared mailbox.



Field What to enter

NameThe display name for your shared mailbox
Email addressThe name of the email address (appears before the @)
Domain menuSelect the domain you want to use (appears after the @)
Add membersEnter email addresses to give people permission to use this shared mailbox.


To access a shared mailbox, you have to be added as a member. You will be able to log in to the shared mailbox using your email client or webmail.

  • Click Create.
  • It can take about 15 minutes for the new shared mailbox to be available to members.
