    akismet API key

    My managed wp site came with akismet installed and activated.  I deactivated it today while trouble shooting another plug in.  When I reactivated akismet, it is now asking for an API key.  Where do I get an API key from godaddy to reactivate it?  A godaddy search came up with nothing and google only found an old thread from 2010 that had a link, but it's dead now.  thanks.

    Hi @skunkaperecords,

     

    Here is a link to the Akismet site:  https://akismet.com/wordpress/ 

     

    Akismet is an independent service from GoDaddy.  WP comes with Akismet installed as it is an AutoMattic product.  Currently, I don't think you can get the full service free.
