cPanel with CloudFlare subdomain help

I use cPanel and CloudFlare to run my website, and I am having trouble, my subdomain is test.dawsonmayernik.com, when I open the page it says "This site can’t be reached" and when I add a CNAME record to my domain called 'test' it only shows the default GoDaddy Coming soon page. Does anybody have any advice for how to fix this problem?

Re: cPanel with CloudFlare subdomain help

I found the solution, instead of adding a CNAME record, add an A record with the name being the subdomain and have it point to your cPanel hosting IP address, then add the subdomain to your cloudflare SSL certificate via cPanel and you're done.

Have you added test.dawsonmayernik.com to the hosting plan?  It is hard to tell where you may be stuck, if you could summarize what steps you've done so far.

Re: cPanel with CloudFlare subdomain help

It shouldn't matter if it's an A record or CNAME record as long as the "points to" ends up at your hosting plan.  But it is good to hear you've got it working now.
