Shared Linux hosting with cpanel.
I have tried using the command sudo ./install.sh to install an application. The command returns sudo not found. I found I can use sh ./install.sh which returns that I do not have root. Can you enable root for a shared linux hosting account? and how. And or can you request go daddy to install the selected app?

Hi @jwvrga29, it looks like that particular command requires root access to the server in order to function. You would not have that level of access on a shared hosting plan. If you needed superuser/root level access, that would have to be done on either a VPS or Dedicated Server plan.
Thanks!
