Add a promotional banner to my website

Sometimes you have breaking news that needs your customers’ attention as soon as they land on your site. Use the promotional banner to direct customers to the latest news and promotions your business has to offer.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down to Website Builder and select Manage next to the website you want to change.
  3. In the Dashboard, select Website then Edit Site.
  4. While your site is on your Home page, select the header of your page. (Alternately, select Pages & Sections in the sidebar, and then select Header.)
  5. Select Promotional Banner.

  6. Toggle Show Promotion to the on position.

  7. Edit your custom message, and choose to add a seasonal decoration or not. If you choose to add a link, you can link to:
    • A page and section within your website.
    • A separate URL.
    • A product category (for example, Newest) if you're using the Ecommerce plan (compare plans and pricing)
  8. When you are finished, select Done.
  9. Remember to Publish your site to make the changes visible to everyone else.
