Get Started! Configure WooCommerce Settings

Below you'll find links with more information about all the WooCommerce settings and how to configure them. You can start by navigating to WooCommerce > Settings from your WordPress site.

Note: The following are the default WooCommerce settings. It's possible that other plugins will create their own tabs with exclusive settings, so please refer to that plugin's documentation for more information

  • General settings tab

    Here you'll find some general settings like setting up your shop's address, shipping locations, enabling taxes, as well as currency options.

  • Products settings tab

    In this tab, you can find settings relevant to the display of products, measurements, inventory management, and setting the threshold for low and out of stock notifications. You can also set the file download method for downloadable products among other settings.

  • Tax settings tab

    Here you can set up the tax options for your shop, as well as the standard, reduced, and zero rate tax rates.

  • Shipping settings tab

    This is the page where you can set up the shipping zones of your shop, shipping options like calculating the shipping cost and creating shipping classes.

  • Payment settings tab

    On this tab, you can enable the payment methods supported by your shop, access their settings by clicking on the name of the payment gateway, and even change the order they appear on your checkout page.

    Note: If you don't see your preferred payment gateway here, make sure that you enable the relevant plugin in your WordPress admin.

  • Accounts and Privacy settings tab

    Here you'll find settings relevant to the guest checkout, account creation for your shop, how you can handle account erasure requests, and the removal of personal data. You can also find a section regarding privacy policy and you can also set up your shop's personal data retention period.

  • Email settings tab

    In this tab, you can manage the email notifications of your shop, set the "From" name and address, and customize the email template.
